SPEED is a liquid frost proofer, based on calcium chloride it may be used in concrete or mortar. When added to the water used with Portland cement, mortar or concrete SPEED reacts chemically with the cement to produce a rapid set and fast hardening. As the chemical reaction generates heat in the mix, this increases its resistance to frost in the early stages. Ultimately SPEED produces a more dense concrete and increases tensile, compressive strength and the resistance to passage of oil and water.
